Elam McKnight normally plays on an acoustic duo team with harmonica player Keith Carter But for recording this album Elam has chosen to be backed by a complete electric band McKnight performs an hypnotic deep blues following the southern tradition With this kind of blues on his back he has performed in hundreds of r&b clubs and bars The musicians who back him deeply know that ‘business’ because they have worked as sidemen of great bluesmen Casey Lutton has been guitar player with Homesick James, Rufus Thomas or Bo Diddley, among other great names Drummer Cedric Burnside (RL Burnside’s grandson) and his father Gary Burnside on bass are the rhythm section Elam has chosen for this cd All musicians have a huge experience that you will immediately feel from the first notes of the openning track Braid My Hair Keep on doing such great work, Elam!!
