Singer and guitar player EG Kight comes now in an acoustic trio format backed by her two “boys” as she calls them, Ken Wynn on lead guitar, dobro and backing vocals and Gary Porter on harmonica, drums, percussion and backing vocals. For the album she has counted with Sean Williams on bass in five songs and the backing vocals of Miriam Kight in one cut.

Ten songs, nine of them own or co-written compositions, plus the version of “Come And Go Blues” coming from Gregg Allman, give shape to an album where the trio gives us a good variety of intimistic blues and roots music, always performed in acoustic, where her powerful voice shines in a notorious and remarkable way.

The songs tell us about resignation or truncated relationships, but also about funny stories, developed with vivid attractive images that undoubtedly will call the attention of most listeners driving them to the magic universe she always creates in a really effective way, both with her voice and the support of both musicians who back her.

Sometimes compared to Bonnie Raitt, EG Kight wraps us in a deep, convincing atmosphere performing with a strong personality, which gives to her repertoire a distinctive stamp spiced with beautiful vocal nuances.
