Eddie Martin is certainly one of the great names of actual British blues rock Deeply influenced by the Stones music, Eddie has just released his 12 studio album where he has got a perfect mixture of the most hypnotic and swampy Louisiana blues with the so distinctive Stones riffs he deeply admires With a long career behind him, Martin proves in this new album he has already reached a complete professional maturity, as well as a total self-confidence and an undeniable leadership The album gathers eleven songs that show the variety of resources and facets Martin is able to give to his music Like Water becomes a tribute to Keith Richards, while Frozen Lake drives us to the most colorful places of cabaret rumba One Man Band becomes a tribute to ZZ Top charismatic boogie, Louisiana Woman is an homage to Mahalia Jackson, while the lyrics in songs like Silver Spoon or Sewn Up show his original and special sense of humor Eddie Martin is on vocals, harmonica and guitars, while Jonny Henderson on Hammond B-3, Dan Moore on Fender Rhodes, Yuki Yoshizu on piano, Jerry Soffe on bass, Tom Gilkes on drums and the backing vocals of Audra Nishita and Nadine Gingell perfectly support him along the whole recording
