Here comes the second Eddie Cotton’s album, an artist who is now enjoying a huge recognition by the majority of people interested in blues Son of a Baptist Church minister, Eddie grew up singing and playing gospel at church while at home he learned to play blues listening and copying great blues legends like BB King, Albert King and Freddie King He studied music in Jackson, Mississippi and also began to preach as a minister at his father’s church This unusual combination of gospel and blues is what makes his music so attractive to the ears of fans as well as to many different audiences who appreciate his good taste in combining the classic electric blues performed in a genuine Texas style like Johnny Copeland or Albert Collins with more funky rhythms and the raw heartbreaking way to sing soul, gospel and especially blues he always approaches with an intensity that will hurt your body and mind In 2015 he was winner in best band category of the International Blues Challenge in Memphis In short words, this is a really intense, very exciting and well built up album
