Amazing Chicago West Side singer and guitar player, former karate and motorcycling champion who, in the middle of the seventies appeared and became well known as blues musician, comes back with a cd recorded for Wolf Austrian label Sixteen songs with all his harsh style and his innate talent for blues, which have made Eddie C Campbell become one of the really interesting names of the actual blues that is now cooked at the ‘windy city’ Eleven of the sixteen songs included on the cd are Campbell’s own songs, the rest belong to Little Walter, Magic sam, Willie Dixon, E Murray and Freddie King Many good friends and musicians have collaborated on the cd such as, among others, Al Copley on piano or Johnny Mars on harp The last cd song Please Love Me was recorded in Chicago in 197 and includes a de luxe band with Campbell on guitar and vocals, Lafayette Leake on piano, Clifton James on drums and Bob Stroger on bass In short words, this is an excellent album to be savoured again and again
