Eddie Burns has just come back to the recording studios to give us an splendid cd with hundred percent genuine Detroit blues style along the fifteen flavoury songs included on it This time Eddie has done a more disciplined thorough work than in other previous cds The result is a good recording, well performed with the knowledge of a real master He has left a narrow place for improvisation, all songs have been deeply structured only letting some well controlled spaces where harmonica, guitar and piano draw elegant intense solos A special mention to the convincing rhythm section with deluxe musicians like Larry Taylon on drums and Nick Charles on bass who together with Jimmy Burns on guitar and Roosvelt Purifoy on piano give the perfect support to Eddie’s warm voice and powerful harp and guitar performing This cd gives us the real artistic dimension of a bluesman called Eddie Burns
