Earl & The Agitators is the natural follow on of Foghat, a legendary group founded by drummer Roger Earl, guitar player Scott Holt and solo and slide guitar Bryan Bassett The live recorded bonus tracks that complete this album also feature Foghat members Rodney O’Quinn on bass, Tony Bullard on guitar and Mark Petrocelli on drums and percussion The recording aims to faithfully reflect how much these musicians enjoy when they play the music they feel and love, that is nothing than visceral straight rock, heavy blues, Americana, boot stompin’, hard rockin’ and southern rock, they perform with a total freedom The atmosphere one can breathe along the whole recording is the one of a lively jam session where the musicians invite other colleagues who share the same musical tastes to join the party to enjoy themselves and make the audience enjoy too, with a musical recipe that mixes Chess and Sun Records old sound, with powerful and pyrotechnic guitars, percussive bass and aggressive drums The result of this attractive recipe is nothing else than pure rock
