One of the most bright creatives blues guitars comes back to give us a sober mature work With Groove A Rama Duke’s purpose has been to give us a wide diversified vision of his different musical influences and sources which come from T-Bone Walker to BB King Everybody knows blues are on the basis and roots of his music but Duke goes further up and shows he is a versatile musician who can play other kinds of music as well That is the reason why you will find Ray Charles or Bob Dylan songs in this cd, plus his own cool genuine own songs which give a new fragancy to the traditional music always present on Robillard’s work High quality and a professional work is what you will find on this new Duke’s work, he has done together with his friends Mark Teixeira on drums and percussion, Jesse Williams on bass and acoustic bass and, of course, Doug James on saxo and harp, plue special guests Marty Ballou on Fender bass, Bruce Bears on Hammond and Al Basile on horns
