A magnificent musician with a lot of swing, great charisma and much experience to perform semi-acoustic blues with taste and elegant nuances, always from a personal, original and clever point of view Doug MacLeod is a guitarist, singer, composer and producer who knows well his job in the music business, and he does it not just in the blues, but also in all Afroamerican music roots tradition Along his career Doug MacLeod has worked as a musician together with some of the greatest powerful and historical names of blues and rhythm and blues from Texas, Kansas City and West Coast Big Joe Turner, Pee Wee Crayton, Eddie ‘Cleanhead’ Vinson, George ‘Harmonica’ Smith or Big Mama Thornton are some of the legendary names he has worked with On this new album Doug shows all his talent and energy, singing and playing acoustic guitars, dobros, and also some six and twelve string National ones Doug is backed by Denny Croy on bass and the great Jimi Bott on drums All them give a good dose of swing, mystery, innovation and good taste to a personal bright repertoire
