Singer and guitar player with very special and particular features, his blues approach both John Lee Hooker or the swampy blues in a path that could make us remind Tony Joe White or JJ Cale for a certain sound and a particular chromatism, without forgetting his Delta influences, ranging from Bukka White to Big Joe Williams, Son House, Reverend Gary Davis, Mississippi John Hurt or Charlie Patton among others.

Doug MacLeod is a true intense and raw storyteller who openly talks about the real daily life problems like health, illness, poverty, alcoholism or death, but also about his personal experiences. But it is in his live shows where Doug catches the hearts of people, not only for his performing strength, but also for the immediate communication he establishes with the audience.

This album becomes a magnificent example of the amazing feeling and power of an artist who, only with his guitar and his voice, is able to create an atmosphere that leaves no one indifferent. Twelve own songs where, in some of them, you will also find Rick Steff on keyboards, Dave Smith on bass and Steve Potts on drums.

Let yourself be carried on by the strength, sincerity, elegance and poetry of this magnificent musician called Doug MacLeod who, aged now seventy-six and with all the knowledge and experience he has got over the years, will be able to delight you with endless stories, anecdotes and fantastic songs that will enrich your personal life. Trust him and you will not regret it.
