Doug Duffey is a singer, songwriter and keyboard player rooted in the deepest tradition of swamp blues, Memphis soul, Louisiana rhythm & blues, New Orleans rhythms, Delta and other styles that could be called “bayou funk”, “swampadelic” or “bluesiana”. He started to devote professionally to music when he was only fourteen and, almost fifty years later, he still captivates the audience, thanks to his incisive voice, passionate lyrics and his performing technique, always gifted with a great imagination, spontaneity and personality.

As a composer he has written songs for artists like Marcia Ball, Funkadelic, Rare Earth or George Clinton among others. He has also received countless awards, in addition to doing extensive tours around USA and Europe.

Together with his band BADD, a name formed from the initials of band members first names, he now publishes a new recording, where he totally immerses himself into the tradition of the styles that have influenced him most, to let us know the richness and variety he puts in all his songs, developed with an undeniable honesty and love for the music he performs.

Eleven own compositions or written in collaboration with Dan Sumner round up an album where Doug Duffey is on vocals and keyboards, Dan Sumner is on guitar, bass, double bass, trumpet, percussion and vocals, Ben Ford on bass and Adam Ryland on drums, with the collaboration of Dave P. Moore on harmonica, Jonathan Paterson on trombone and Bert Windham on trumpet.
