Recorded live at the Atlantis Basel in Basel, Switzerland, Doug Deming & The Jewel Tones new recording will leave breathless most fans of jump blues, swing, blues, New Orleans rhythm and blues or even the most shameless rockabilly, for the devilish and skillful way they perform all these styles, besides the good chemistry that always arises among musicians and their performing spontaneity not exempt of an impressive technique, deep feeling and good taste.

When you listen to the album, it is impossible not to be caught by the infectious rhythm and groove the band communicates in every song included in this fantastic recording. From that incredible performance in Basel, Switzerland, they have selected eleven songs, eight of them Doug Deming’s own compositions and the rest versions of some classics like “I’m Ready” coming from Fats Domino, “Oh Baby” by Willie Dixon and “Bloodshot Eyes” by Ruth Hall & Hank Penny.

The band members are Doug Deming on vocals and guitar, Andrew Gohman on bass and Zack Pomerleau on drums and harmonica he plays simultaneously. For this exceptional concert they were joined by Sax Gordon and Terry Hanck on sax and Bill Heid on keyboards.

All those who were lucky enough to be at that unbelievable show, they surely enjoyed as much as Roser and I have done listening to this album that is pure dynamite.
