I feel happy and pleased again with the amazing new record of this impressing singer called Dorothy Moore. First, because for more than ten years, she had not come to a recording studio and then because the selection of songs included on the cd is really incredible. Her singing talent has no limits and her vocal abilities will make you goose pimples. The mixture of funk, soul and r&b is exceptional and the arrangements included on the eleven cd songs are colourful and bright, not only on the most contemporary tracks but also on Dinah Washington’s and Bessie Smith’s versions. An excellent comeback to the best ranks of an artist who although unfortunately she is not very lavish in gigs and records, has always stood one’s ground.
