Esteban Abad’s passion for guitar has led him to starting up the project of setting a band and devote himself to play in the spare time after his daily work.

Esteban is not a professional musician but a great music fan and an active enthusiastic man. He has also been founder of the Olesa Blues Society and works tirelessly to promote the blues. He also has a great guitar knowledge which makes him to reach an incendiary sound, with guitar licks and riffs full of energy.

For some years he leads the band Doc & Friends, where he performs a well-structured repertoire of powerful rock blues, developed with an undeniable strength, which makes as a result a reliable band which can rub shoulders with the best contemporary blues rock groups.

To do so he has recruited some experienced musicians like Mónica Samit on vocals, Alex Albalá on keyboards, Joan Vigo on bass, Miguel Ballester on drums and, of course, Esteban Abad on electric guitar. The album also features David García on guitar in “All Black Night Blues” and Sesk Kpell on sax in “Blues Hounds” and “Time For The Blues”.

The recording gathers nine songs and, although most of them are not properly blues, the quality of Esteban and his musicians becomes evident in each of the album songs, something that will surprise more than one.

Some sophisticated blues, powerful rock and elegant ballads can be found in this album, that has been recorded with an extreme care and commitment by Doc & Friends.
