Dionne Bennett is a singer, songwriter, producer, as well as radio show host. Coming from West India (Great Britain), Dionne began her musical career at the age of fourteen, recording her first album at fifteen.

Besides singing together with the late Dr John, Dionne has participated in different educational programs and, in the BBC, she hosts “The Maths Channel” which aims to help children’s education by through the music. She has also participated in Blues Brothers’ musical, besides doing countless tours all over Europe. On Radio Cardiff she hosts her own music show “The Suga Shack”, and she is always busy with many other activities in favor of black music.

Her versatility and colorful vocal range allow her to approach with reliability to different music fields like blues, jazz, rhythm and blues, soul, reggae, punk, pop and rock ‘n’ roll. Despite having suffered a serious asthma attack that left her in coma and overcoming a tracheotomy, Dionne Bennett’s voice remains fresh and keeps all her potential force, something listeners will realize, thanks to the self-assurance and conviction she brings to her performing.
