French record company and distributor Kebra Records is not a blues label but, from time to time, they release little gems that come from French artists who, in some way, are related to blues or jazz. This is the case of singer, guitar player and composer Didier Rousseau, a genuine representative of what has been called “chanson française” who, in his compositions, mixes elements of this style with jazz and some blues and swing drops.

Didier is a versatile musician who feels comfortable in the just mentioned styles but who is also able to develop other rhythms like bossa nova, ballads, funk, reggae or even intimistic pop.

For this album Didier has selected fourteen songs that will serve listeners to appreciate the variety of resources he is able to bring to each song, also thanks to some more than interesting arrangements by Florent Sepchat. It should also be noted that Didier Rousseau has counted with a large group of musicians who bring a different air to each of the album tracks. They are Florent Sepchat on accordion and organ, Salim Bekraoui on guitars, Ludovic François on piano, Pierre Egea on bass, Philippe Haguenier on drums, Mathieu Randon on soprano and tenor sax, Matthieu Dubois on alto and baritone sax, Quentin Longée on trombone and Martin Declercq on trumpet.

In short words, it is a pleasant curiosity to taste this original album, one of those recordings rather difficult to be found in the Spanish market.
