Well known as first female and actual singer in Ronnie Earl’s band, Diane Blue leads her own band too, but she is also a real entertainer, multi-instrumentalist and a remarkable harmonica player, something that has led her to make countless tours around USA and Europe, besides getting in 2020 a nomination to the Blues Music Awards. She has also shared stage with such big artists like Luther “Guitar Jr.” Johnson, Irma Thomas, Toni Lynn Washington or Big Jack Johnson, who often said she was “a monster on the harp”.

This album was recorded live at the Fallout Shelter in Norwood, MA, where Diane sang backed by Chris Vitarello on guitar, Dave Limina on Hammond, Lorne Entress on drums and the special collaboration of Ronnie Earl in the song “Leave Me Alone”, a terrific slow blues that will hit hard into listeners’ hearts, they perform in an intense passionate and emotional way. Nine songs were selected from that live show, something that was really difficult because all them were high-quality ones. Seven are Diane’s own compositions she wrote during the pandemic confinement days, together with two versions, “I Got A Good Think” and “I Cry”.

A magnificent album where the good work and climax Diane and the rest of the band reached on stage was absolute, something that will surely catch listeners along the approximately forty minutes of appealing music included in the recording.
