Here comes this duo third álbum for the Electro-Fi label and, once again, Diana and Chris impress us with their approach to vintage blues they perfectly know, performing them with great mastery, good taste and determination on twelve wonderful songs done with an extreme feeling and self-confidence Both musicians comfortably walk along thirties and forties blues, but they also perform Chicago blues with more electric arrangements, thanks to the support of Lindsay Beaver on drums, Mike Archer on bass, Jesse Whiteley on keyboards and Phil Skladowski and Jonathan Wong on baritone and tenor sax In front of them all, the delicious voice of Diana Braithwaite and Chris Whiteley’s guitars, trumpet, harmonica and vocals DeltaPhonic is an album done under a traditional perspective and respect for some of their mentors and greatest influences, such as Lonnie Johnson, Blind John Davis, Sam Chatmon, Albert Collins and, in general, the whole Chicago blues, especially old time one
