Guitar player, singer, songwriter and producer Devon Allman is the son of the great Gregg Allman. He has collaborated several times as guest musician with his father or with The Allman Brothers Band. However, Devon is a restless musician who is always looking for new musical challenges, so throughout his career he has led bands like Honeytribe, Royal Southern Brotherhood or The Allman Betts Band. Together with his band, the Devon Allman Project, he has reached a solid reputation as a prominent blues, rock and southern rock performer.

With this album Devon Allman takes a step forward, as he has incorporated some great musicians who undoubtedly will delight listeners. Names like Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Larry McCray, Sierra Green, Jimmy Hall, Robert Randolph or The Memphis Horns are totally integrated in the ten songs that round up this recording, where Devon Allman has given much of the prominence to them, which makes it be not the typical one by a band with guests, but rather a group of great artists sharing the same feeling and showing they are perfectly teamed and all them look in the same musical direction.

Each song brings and communicates the imprint of the participating musicians. For example, Jimmy Hall puts his stamp with harmonica and vocals in songs like “Blues Is A Feeling” or in the wonderful version of “Wang Dang Doodle” coming from Willie Dixon, where all the musicians connect with their same blues passion. Larry McCray is superb in his B.B. King’s tribute with the song “Getting’ Greasy With It”. New Orleans singer Sierra Green is stunning in the song “Real Love”. Christophe “Kingfish” Ingram puts his powerful guitar in the album’s opening track “Runners In The Night”… and the album goes on in this way until completing the fantastic songs included.

With this recording Devon Allman shows not only his quality as a musician but also his skills to bring together a series of excellent artists in an impressive album, each one with their own sensitivity and personality, but who come together to create a bunch of songs full of beauty, genuineness, feeling and, of course, a lot of blues.
