Dennis Jones is a singer and guitar player who not only loves music in general but, as the tittle of his second album says, he also feels ‘passion for the blues’. As singer Dennis has a cool refined calm vocal style that sometimes reminds me ZZ Hill one. As guitar player Dennis finds his inspiration in musicians like Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Winter, Stevie Ray Vaughan or B.B. King. “Fallin Up” was recorded in 2003 and “Passion For The Blues” has been recently recorded. Two gratifying good done cds that capture the personal special spirit of Dennis own songs. It looks like if both cds were recorded live but the true thing is they have been done on a recording studio. Probably “Fallig Up” is more eclectic and varied cd than “Passion For The Blues” that gives a more classic orthodox performing but both reach a high quality level. Dennis Jones has received amazing reviews, which have shot him to the first places of the emerging musicians of contemporary United States rhythm and blues ranking.
