Dennis Brennan is one of these singers, harmonica players and composers gifted with an outstanding personality and originality one can find in East Coast and especially Boston area, where he has become a relevant artist Although in his previous recordings he was more close to roots rock and Americana music, after forming his new band Dennis Brennan And The White Owls, his repertoire has evolved towards blues than any other kind of music and it is the to blues that he wants to pay homage in this his first recording with his new band Besides having clear ideas as a composer, which becomes evident in some of the own songs he has chosen for the album, he has also selected other compositions coming from Johnny Guitar Watson, Mose Allison, Willie Dixon, Jimmy Reed, Bobo Jenkins, Big Al Downing or Jagger & Richards Dennis Brennan on vocals and harmonica, Stephen Sadler on lap steel guitar and vocals, Tim Gearen on guitar and vocals, David Westner on organ, Jim Haggerty on double bass and vocals and Andrew Plaisted on drums and vocals form a reliable group whose aim is to communicate the real blues feeling with an overwhelming sympathy and commitment
