Seventh son of the legendary Eddie and Vera Taylor, both representing the most genuine sixties Chicago blues, singer Demetria Taylor has the blues in her blood, as she grew up listening to blues since her earliest childhood, so she has been totally exposed to this style which has become her musical reference.

Since Demetria recorded his first album in 2011, her name has not stopped to grow among fans, performing regularly in all Chicago blues clubs, but also touring along USA, Europe, Mexico, Japan or Brazil.

Unfortunately, in 2019 she lost her beloved brother Eddie Taylor Jr. and, in 2021, she tragically lost her son Raymone Walker. After few months of deep pain and sorrow, she now comes back with this new album, the second recorded for Chicago blues label Delmark Records, which includes twelve songs that become a perfect mixture of classic Chicago blues with contemporary rhythm and blues, performed with a passionate reliability, a professional display and a distinctive elegance.

To do so she has counted with a handful of good blues musicians like Deitra Farr, Mike Wheeler, Billy Flynn, Carlos Showers, Larry Williams, Brian James and Melvin Carlisle. All of them know how to create the climax, the warmth and the spirit necessaries to make Demetria Taylor’s voice shine, which is precisely what aficionados look for in a good blues and rhythm & blues album, so the result is a recording with an undeniable abundance of all those ingredients.
