Delta Boys is a duo formed by two veterans of German music scene with many years of experience behind them Gerd Gorke and Michael van Merwyk are responsible of this project Gerd plays harmonica and sings, while his team-mate Michael plays guitar and sings too In Rough & Easy both musicians play a collection of classic country blues, ranging from Tampa Red to Big Bill Broonzy, but they also perform some roots Americana music, spirituals and a handful of original own compositions The repertoire includes well known songs like I Saw The Light or Glory Of Love, but they also show their wide knowledge of the genre adding much more dark songs like Your Mind Is On vacation by Mose Allison or Blues Is A Woman by Loe Rawls Gorke and van Merwyk share their vocal skills, because both have a deep suggestive voice, so rich as Delta landscape When they play guitar, harmonica or sing, both show the reason why they can be considered among the best and most attractive German blues musicians
