Singer, guitarist and songwriter Debbie Bond is a woman of great charisma and strong personality She was born in California but, along with his family, moved to so different and distant countries like Germany, Netherland, England, Scotland and even in the western part of Africa where, when she was only thirteen, she came on stage for the first time Back home she settled in Alabama, where she used to go regularly to blues clubs to play with different bluesmen such as Johnny Shines or Willie King among others Together with her sentimental and working partner Rick Asherson, Debbie has written most of the songs included in Hearts Are Wild, an album specially devoted to Americana music, though you can also find some blues songs, soul ballads, rhythm and blues, swinging shuffle or funky blues It is really noticeable the special atmosphere and absolute tempos control and instrumental precision of every one of the musicians involved in these recordings who are Debbie Bond on guitar and vocals, Rick Asherson keyboards and harmonica, James ‘Mr B’ Brown bass, Dave Crenshaw drums and percussion, Brad Guin tenor sax, Chad Fisherb trombone and finally Rob Alley and Brice Miller trumpets
