Singer and songwriter Deb Ryder has just released her sixth album, the first she has recorded live from The Mint in Los Angeles, California.

Born in Chicago, at the age of five she started to sing with her father at churches and local venues. When she was a teenager, her mother and stepfather moved to California, where they opened rock and blues club The Topanga Corral. There she did her first steps as a singer, opening and playing with artists like Etta James, Big Joe Turner, Taj Mahal or Canned Heat, who used to perform often there and became her mentors, encouraging her to start her career as a singer.

Despite being white, Deb is gifted with a deep and powerful voice with the power and intensity of black singers, as well as a stage presence that makes her to be a true diva, who moves like no one else on styles like blues, rhythm & blues or ballads, she develops with an amazing skill and a terrific expressive force.

Fourteen own compositions make up this album, where she is surrounded by some of the best musicians of actual West Coast blues scene, like Tony Braunagel, Johnny Lee Schell, Jum Pugh, Tex Nakamura, Ric W, Ryder, Alan Maggini, Lon Price and Paul Litteral. Some guest artists also wanted to collaborate in the recording like Albert Lee, Joe Sublett, Joey Delgado, Artur Menezes and Big Llou Johnson.

With this album, Deb Ryder crowns herself as one of the most gifted and, at the same time, most innovative voices of actual blues and rhythm & blues scene. Passion, dedication, commitment, credibility and fun can be found in equal parts in each of the album songs.
