Hailing from New York, bass player Dean Zucchero became well known in his city not only as a musician but also as a composer and studio musician. Later on, he traveled to Europe as member of The Healers, where he stayed for a period of nine years. In 2013 he came back to USA and he settled in New Orleans where he has built up his career, besides backing different musicians like Cyril Neville, Little Freddie King, “Jumpin'” Johnny Sansone or Ghalia Volt among many others.

Now Dean has become an experienced musician who tastefully performs not only New Orleans music, but he also is able to comfortably move along Louisiana blues, as well as zydeco, cajun and even Memphis rhythm & blues or Chicago blues.

With all this baggage on his back, Zucchero has released a new album that gathers all those rich and varied musical influences which can be found in each of the eleven songs that give shape to the recording, that become a true spiritual guide for all blues lovers. To do so, he has recruited a select group of singers and instrumentalists like Johnny Rawls, Dale Spalding, Jonathon “Boogie” Long, Ghalia Volt, Bruce “Sunpie” Barnes, Johnny Burgin, Leslie Blackshear Smith, “Jumpin'” Johnny Sansone and Jeremy Joyce, all them on vocals, as well as other excellent musicians who give strength, energy and a colorful display to each of the album songs, most of them Zucchero’s own compositions.
