Here comes an amazing album of this ‘deacon’ of blues, rock & roll, jump and all cultural heritage of New Orleans fifties rhythm and blues The essence of Little Richard, Fats Domino, Professor Longhair, Allen Toussaint, Lee Allen or Dave Batholomew, the soul and flavour of all these musicians and many others are present in this incredible cd Excellent tunes selection with standard blues like Tipitina, Somebody, Nobody Knows When Your’re Down And Out, Let The Good Times Roll, Jumpin’ In The Morning and other musical treasures all performed with great taste, passion and over all with a terrific ‘swing’ The rolling overwhelming three different horn sections included on the cd are formed by alto, tenor and bass sax, trumpets and trombones Impressive guest musicians from The Zion Harmonizers to Henry Butler, Allen Toussaint himself or Dr John give an unbelievable performing along the whole cd In short words, a well done work where everything shines at a very high level If you are not familiar with Deacon John Moore, it is a good moment to discover the talent of this ‘creole’ man and the wonderful trubute he pays to fifties New Orleans music
