Davis Hall & The Green Lanterns is a Canadian band led by drummer Jim Casson, an outstanding name among Canadian percussionists. Jim has been member of some of the most famous blues groups in his country, like Downchild, The Maple Blues Band or The Hogtown Allstars, which guarantees his quality, besides be worthy of the prestigious Maple Blues Award in “Best Drummer” category in 2022.

This is his second solo album, where Jim has developed a personal and unconventional sound. The recording presents a unique originality, including eleven songs fruit of his imagination and creativity, displayed with an evident class and distinction. Each one of the album songs has as its name an historical village of the Niagara Peninsula in Ontario, names Casson found on an old 1907 military map that hangs in his office. The song “Canboro Canborough” that gives tittle to the album, is a reference to the street where Jim Casson grew up.

Although the recording is completely instrumental, this does not mean that all songs do not have a remarkable quality and are really pleasant to listen to them. Also mention the good work of all the musicians involved in the album like Jim Casson on drums, keyboards, xylophone and different percussions, Wayne DeAdder on guitar and ukulele, Mike Branton on slide guitar, N. Jay Burr on tuba and trombone and Mark Lalama on piano, keyboards and accordion.
