Recorded with an exquisite analog sound, Sunshine is the great success of a band that goes deep into the last hundred years of American music, always with a great originality and an accurate realism Eleven songs and a bonus track that present a varied showcase of the complete different band faces, from the optimism of the song Flow, to the irresistible New Orleans sound of Red Shoes But we also find different influences of Americana music The Band used to play in the song You Better Start Praying and even hurtful outbursts of soul in Away From Me, together with punching ballads and other musical styles During the last nine years Davina & The Vagabonds have little by little changed their style from what could be defined as ‘down-and-dirty blues’ to gradually become one of the most exciting and interesting acoustic cult groups that can be found nowadays This five musicians band with Davinia Sowers piano and vocals, Daniel Eikmeier trumpet, Benjamin Link trombone, Andrew Burns bass and Connor McRae Hammergren drums and percussion always perform a stunning and colourful live shows, thanks to an incredible, unusual, carefully studied stage presence, an undeniable quality and a vintage look that will never let people indifferent This is the reason why in their gig calendar they always have more than three hundred dates per year
