Most musicians dream to play one day with one of their heroes This is what happened to Canadian singer, songwriter and harmonica player David Rotundo who, in 2019, was able to perform together with his mentor Lee Oskar at the Annual Blues Festival in Puerto Escondido and at Blues On The Beach in Mexico His dream was totally accomplished when Lee Oskar asked him to be one of the featured artists of his popular harmonicas label David Rotundo’s new album has also been produced by Lee Oskar and features twelve David’s own compositions he performs surrounded by an amazing line-up of Canadian and Pacific Northwest musicians Juke joint blues, slow blues, passionate soul and some more introspective songs give shape to the recording, where the emotional bright colored David Rotundo’s harmonica playing is in the center of the whole arrangements Lee Oskar’s effective musical direction manages to get the best out of each musician involved effectively capturing the good interaction that appeared among them The enthusiasm and feeling of an emerging musician like David Rotundo combined with the experience of a renowned musician like Lee Oskar make as a result a more than interesting album
