Same Soil is a tribute to roots blues tradition that has always been present in both the life and music of this singer, songwriter and guitar player celled David Michael Miller To carry out this project, David decided to only play with vintage instruments and amplifiers used more than forty years ago, and also employ the old recording techniques, without too many study devices and a very few dubbing For doing it he has recruited a handful of experienced veteran musicians of New York area like Jim Ehinger on keyboards, Jeremy Keyes on harmonica, Jason Moynihan on sax, Shannon Street and Carlton Campbell on drums or Robert ‘Freightrain’ Parker and Richi Valentino on bass and double bass All them run across the roads of blues to explore sounds and songs inspired by Muddy Waters, Jimmy Reed or Bo Diddley, done from their own personal stamp, spiced with gospel and soul influences to drive all listeners to a magical journey along the most exciting acoustic blues, greasy shuffles, emotional gospel, impressive soulful ballads or funky-blues-rock, all performed directly from the heart and soul with the precise instrumentation and the excellent technique of all participating musicians
