Veteran Canadian singer and guitar player David Gogo has just released his sixteenth album entitled “Silver Cup”, which refers to an old silver cup made in the early years of the nineteenth century his ninety-five year old grandmother gave him shortly before her death. This cup serves David to talk about his family history where the cup is present in one way or another. The album was recorded in the middle of the pandemic, at a time that, from his home Gogo was able to think about his life, his career and his family heritage.

Recognized with various awards and honors, in this album David Gogo shows his most intimate and acoustic facet, letting us realize he is also able to perfectly move in this acoustic field and communicate an intense feeling. Along the ten album songs David Gogo is on vocals, guitar, twelve-string guitar, baritone guitar and slide, while Steve Marriner is on guitar, piano, bass, double bass, harmonica, baritone guitar and percussion. The cast includes the collaborations of Marisha Devoin on bass and vocals and Jimmy Bowskill on violin in one track.
