Mississippi born singer, song-writer and guitar player, now settled in Detroit, David Gerald is an straigth emotional musician with an overflowing passion and feeling When he was only sixteen years old, he was totally caught by Prince’s guitar playing and other eighties rock guitar players David rediscovered blues listening to legendary names like Albert King, ZZ Hill, BB King or Stevie Ray Vaughan All these influences become evident in his new cd, where you will find technical and sound patterns of the mentioned artists along the whole album David Gerald keeps blues tradition alive, but he also adds new avant-garde forms and concepts to the music he plays The result is a contemporary, cool and well structured kind of blues, rooted on firm strong basis, which give as a result a high voltage blues session
