Here comes a real blues killer, a veteran musician of actual Chicago scene, the leader of a band who knows city blues circuit like the back of their hand Dave Weld & The Imperial Flames have finally released their first album, a long awaited work by all their enthusiasts Dave Weld and his band are the legitimate heirs of the purest ‘house-rockin’ sound, in the path of little Ed (who also plays in the cd as guest musician), Magic Slim, JB Hutto or Hound Dog Taylor, and even sax player Abb Locke had been member in Otis Rush, Howlin ‘Wolf, Elmore James or Earl Hooker bands among others Singer and guitarist Dave Weld founded the Imperial Flames in 1988 and, since then on, the band is very active with non-stop work, bringing their powerful and delicious sound around the country The Imperial Flames are Abb Locke on tenor sax, Harry Yaseen on piano, Dave Kaye on bass and Jeff Taylor on drums You will also find delicious Mexican singer Monica Garcia in a couple of tunes We are facing a suggestive, daring and convincing band, able to give joy to the most sad and lonely hearts Bright your faces and move your bodies The party is just going on, you are welcomed!!
