Wonderful exciting combo coming from Italy who tastefully and cleverly combine jump blues and West Coast sounds The band is led by singer, songwriter and harmonica player Dave Moretti He drives The Blues Revue with authority and composure Moretti worships Walter Horton, Junior Wells, James Cotton, Little Walter, the two Sonny Boy and especially George ‘Harmonica’ Smith and Kim Wilson, not to mention his passion for Al Blake, Gary Smith, Mark Hummel, Rod Piazza, Charlie Musselwhite and Sugar Ray Norcia, to name a few of his favourites of all time The cd includes three versions (Percy Mayfield, Ray Charles and Little Walter), the rest are own songs His passion and devotion for this kind of music is totally evident in this amazing album, which overflows swing in every one of the ten cuts you will immediately enjoy Dave Moretti sings with conviction and good taste, and on harp he shows he has a true ‘big fat tone’, an elegant phrasing and a good run, while The Blues Revue give a compact professional sound You will find Domir Nefot guitar, Emanuele Pavone, bass and Alessio Sonfilippo drums They have also included some good musicians and friends who strengthen all cd songs
