During the last decade Dave Keller has gradually become a prestigious soul singer, as well as a more than a remarkable guitar player and composer. Keller has three time been nominated to the Blues Music Awards for ‘Best Soul Album’ category.

For this new album, Keller had the idea to give a special prominence to his band, letting them to express freely, gathering all their energy in the recording. It was difficult to do it in a conventional studio where recording hours were counted, so he decided to do it in a cabin placed near the Canadian border that was owned by Huck Bennert, Ronnie Earl’s former sound engineer. Huck went to pick them up in his old Subaru car and when they arrived to the cabin, they found it was full of recording gear material brought by Huck to make it perfect. For a week the band enjoyed nature, good food, fun and a totally fluid and relaxed recording time.

Twelve Keller’s own compositions give shape to the album. Keller and his band believe that, after the pandemic, time has come to shine back again and surprise listeners with an energetic, powerful, strong repertoire, halfway between rock and blues.

Dave Keller is on vocals and guitar, Ira Friedman is on keyboards, Alex Bedney on bass and Jay Gleason on drums, with some special guests like Annika Chambers on vocals, Tom Palance on trumpet and Mark Earley on tenor and baritone sax.
