Fifth album for Buzz label of this UK faultless singer, song-writer and guitar player, who deeply loves the most pure old archaic blues Dave Arcary cleverly combines his own material with songs of his idols like Blind Willie McTell, Robert Johnson or Frankie Miller and he does it with a great knowledge and the respectful admiration he feels for all those legendary names and also for the American roots music in general Thirteen good back-porch blues songs Arcari plays only backed by his National guitar, with the special stamp he has to make Mississippi blues or pre-war Delta blues become something different and personal, full of details and influences of trash-country music, rockabilly and even a little bit of punk music Open your ears and minds to Dave Arcari’s music and you will be certainly caught by the hypnotic magic of his musical material I dare say we are facing one of the most innovative interesting soloists of the European folk blues circle
