Born in a very conservative Irish family in Wildwood, Florida, Dana Fuchs soon realized Wildwood was not her place, because her ideas did not fit with the city atmosphere. Her personality and behavior made she was soon considered as a rebel unmanageable young woman, who loved to live with no restrictions. Fortunately Dana managed to drive her wildness through music so she has now reached a status in blues rock scene, thanks to her impressive rough untamed broken voice plus her delivery on stage.

As a music student, one of her teachers took her to a Baptist church in the ‘black’ area of her city and it was there where Dana became totally impressed by the gospel and soul sung in that worship place. At the same time she discovered artists like The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin or Lynyrd Skynyrd, so she started a successful career which has often made her to be compared, not only by her voice but also by her stage presence, to Janis Joplin, Otis Redding or even Mick Jagger.

This new album recorded for German label Ruf Records includes twelve impressive effective songs where Fuchs develops all her magic amazing vocal qualities, along a repertoire perfect to make her shine in each and every one of the album cuts.

Dana Fuchs is on vocals and tambourine, while Jon Diamond is on guitars, harmonica and vocals, Kenny Tudrick is also on guitars, Jordan Champion on keyboards, Jack Daley on bass and Todd Glass on drums. So listen attentively to Dana Fuchs’ voice and enjoy a hurricane of passion and energy.
