Blues scene appears to be in recent times more active than ever all over Europe. In distant countries like Denmark, Poland, Belgium, Austria or Greece every day appear new bands which follow the mission to keep the spirit of the blues alive, each of them composing, performing and developing this style with their own peculiarities and different ways to approach it.

This is the case of the Greek band Daddy’s Work Blues Band which now presents its first album where they include both original material and some covers of songs popularized by Peter Green & Fleetwood Mac, Savoy Brown or Reverend Gary Davis. Although this is their first album, the group has been performing for quite a long time in most Greek stages, which has given them enough experience to record this album with reliability and back outstanding artists like Louisiana Red, Doctor Feelgood, Janice Harrington or Martin Turner, ex Wishbone Ash member.

Daddy’s Work Blues Band is formed by musicians who are friends since their teen years such as Dimitris Doulgeridis on guitar and vocals, Giannis Pachidis on harmonica, Stathis Anestis on bass and Efthimios Polyzos on drums. This is a well displayed original album that will let listeners to have an idea of the blues that is now played in Greece.
