African and mixed race music is the new Corey Harris musical proposal. Corey is gradually getting off the country blues or Mississippi delta sounds, which were the ones that gave him popularity as a future rural blues star, to go deeper into different eclectic musical worlds, from Caribbean music or reggae to deep African music roots, as Corey has always loved to explore his ancestors music. Thirteen tracks and almost sixty minutes of ethnic music where you will also find some guest musicians like Olu Dara on guitar, trumpet and vocals, Harry Dennis Jr on ‘djun jun’ or Morwenna Lasko on violin. In short, an ethnic music cd with roots but with no blues references. Do not be wrong.
