From Madrid, Cookin’ Raw Blues send us two albums, the first one recorded in 2021 and created during the hard days of the pandemic.

Cookin’ Raw Blues is a band formed by experienced musicians who feel and live the blues with passion, something that can immediately be noticed in their music, which includes styles ranging from blues to rhythm & blues or West Coast swing blues.

In this recording they want to pay homage to some of the legendary names they deeply admire. That is why they have selected ten songs by some respected blues icons. Listeners will find compositions coming from musicians like Calvin Carter, William Clarke, T-Bone Walker, J.B. Lenoir, John Lee Hooker, Little Walter, Bill Jennings, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Paul Oscher & Steve Guyger and Muddy Waters.

Just by reading these names, one can realize the album is one hundred percent blues, developed by musicians who know well the style and perform it with respect and veneration.

With this job, Cookin’ Raw Blues do not aim to innovate but to perpetuate and give new life to those songs that good blues lovers always appreciate and enjoy when listening to them again, because all of them gather all the essences and fragrance of blues in capital letters.
