These two Madrid coming men Oscar ‘Madison’ on guitar and David ‘Bombo’ on harmonica, are well known blues musicians in the capital of Spain They met some years ago, both with the idea of forming a band where they could give free rein to their wish to play classic blues, but always with a distinctive way which does not forget the essence of the original sources To do so, they decided to call bass player Juan Manuel Gomez and drummer Edu ‘The Doctor’ Fages After a few rehearsals to decide repertoire and team themselves, they went ahead with the band and that is the way Compañia Walter came to the blues scene ready to play and conquer clubs, venues, bars and every place where they were requested to enjoy themselves and give fun to the audience Thanks to their eagerness and love for blues, they have also published this mini album with six songs coming from Alan Wilson, Willie Dixon, Little Walter or Albert King plus a couple of adapted tunes Now, the Compañia Walter has added some own songs to their live shows repertoire, with some influences of the Orquesta Mondragon or at least this is what it looks like for me In short words this is an honest, cool, funny recording
