During these last two years of pandemic, singer and guitar player Colin James, one of the greatest names of Canadian blues, had enough time to write a good number of songs. It was difficult for him to only select thirteen of those compositions to be included in this new album. Once the song selection was made and, together with his producer Dave Meszaros, they set up three recording sessions in Vancouver. The rest was recorded and mixed remotely in different studios on both sides of the Atlantic.

Although this working way is not what he most likes, as James prefers the personal contact, the final result has been a superb album with an amazing technical quality. Blues does not stop to sound along the whole recording, always performed with a passionate feeling, confirming once again the quality and the colorful presence of an artist who can be proud of having in his curriculum platinum sales and millions of views on both Youtube and Spotify, besides being awarded twenty-seven times at the most prestigious blues awards in Canada, The Maple Blues Awards.

An album that becomes essential for real lovers of actual electric blues but, at the same time, keeps the real essence of old school blues tradition.
