The association between two musicians like Col Ray Price and Reverend Larry Harp Dog Morgan has done as a result a simple and unpretentious recording but, at the same time, full of motivation to please listeners Col Ray has always been interested in country blues, so his influences can be found in Robert Johnson, Leadbelly, Howlin’ Wolf, Son House, RL Burnside or even Big Joe Turner, developing a style deeply based on country music, folk and country blues For a good number of years he has been working regularly with harmonica player Reverend Larry Harp Dog Morgan, a musician who, for more than twenty years, has been playing in countless pubs, clubs, bars and barbecues The album includes sixteen Col Ray Price’s own compositions of raw country blues and old time music, all performed acoustic with almost no mixing and production, to make them sound fresh, hypnotic and repetitive, like when they perform them live in roadhouse bars
