Fortunately, blues is a universal style which has no borders. That is why you can find artists around the world who perform and keep alive the spirit of this music. This is the case of Col Ray Price, an Australian musician who now presents his last recording.

With a start point in artists like John Lee Hooker, along the fourteen album songs Price develops a hypnotic wrapping music that little by little will catch most listeners and immerse them into his own musical universe. Recorded between 2020 and 2021 in the middle of the pandemic times, his compositions find inspiration in rural blues and especially in North Mississippi Hill Country blues, but he always adds to them a personal and experimental touch.

Although his best known facets are as a guitar player and singer in the path of the old shouters and hollers, this time he dares to program a variety of sounds, which gives as a result a very personal album quite different from the music performed by other similar artists.

Let yourself be carried away by the original conception Col Ray Price communicates in every song and travel with the imagination to those dusty roads of the most raw, rough and emotional blues this artist displays in his music.
