From Australia comes a new album by Col Ray Price, a blues student who loves this music from the depths of his heart. Although his skin is white, Col feels the blues like those legendary musicians like Leadbelly, Robert Johnson, Son House, Howlin’ Wolf or R.L. Burnside.

His songs are imbued with the feeling, hypnotic and wrapping rhythm of Delta and North Mississippi Hill County blues musicians, he develops with personality and a raw deep voice which contributes to make his blues even more genuine, he usually recites on a dragging way like a real poet.

For the cd Col Ray Price has selected ten songs, nine own compositions and the song “Riverina Daydreaming” signed by G. Luhrs. In all them the old soulfully blues is always present with an unusual validity, thanks to the passion, delivery and eagerness Price puts in his performing, close to back porch blues style.

Col Ray Price is on vocals, guitars, bass, harmonica and percussion, only backed by Squirrell Johnson on drums.
