The cd tittle says everything This German piano player has recorded live this impressing cd in Coesfeld, December 2000 with a fantastic variety of boogie-woogies The ‘Steinway’ piano sound is perfect and the selection of instrumental boogie-woogies is really delicious The cd opens with Pinetop’s Boogie Woogie followed by a very personal version of New Honky Tonk Train and ten more own blues and boogies really beautiful and performed with a cleverness very few piano players can reach His powerful left hand controls tempos like an exact engine (pay attention to the bass figures too) His right hand plucks, attacks and gives a solid shape to all melodies, creating an astonishing atmosphere This European blues and boogie piano player called Christian Bleiming has been a real discovery because he plays with the same fluency than his masters Ammons, Johnson or Lewis Undoubtely he can be qualified as a piano monster
