Christian Bleiming has gained on German speaking countries a reputation as one of the best boogie-woogie piano players. Bleiming belongs to the new generation of musicians who have come up after Axel Zwingenberger. In the last ten years he has worked to reach a place on top-class piano players. Gifted with an elegant colourful phrasing and a rich imagination, he performs a selection of blues and boogies on the path of most orthodox barrelhouse piano players. His musical tastes and technique are close to the classic piano heroes he deeply admires like Albert Ammons, Meade Lux Lewis or Pete Johnson which becomes evident on all cds he has recorded till now. “My Blue Boogie Style” includes seven own songs plus eight on a delightful cool excellent cd that drives us to those old juke-joints full of smoke, whisky and women.
