Chris Yakopcic is an acoustic blues guitar player and singer who has a remarkable taste and skill playing East Coast ‘fingerpicking’ style. His music is especially inspired by Delta pre-war blues in the path of Big Bill Broonzy or Robert Johnson, and Piedmont blues artists, especially Blind Blake he deeply admires. In 2015 Chris reached the final at the International Blues Challenge in solo/duo category.

One of the few good things the pandemic lockdown brought was the appearance of small streaming shows displayed by musicians who, alone in a lonely home, wanted to share their creativity and music with fans. This developed an increasing interest and emerging demand for musicians who perform their music in intimate performances. Chris was one of those artists who enjoyed the favor of a loyal audience that followed him online. Now Chris has come back to the stage, especially in Ohio and Pennsylvania areas, also touring Colorado, Maryland or Tennessee.

This album was recorded live one evening at Dayton Ohio Music Club and includes twelve songs, six of them Yakopcic’s own compositions and the rest belonging to Blind Blake, Robert Johnson, Leonard Cohen and Tom Waits. In all these songs, Chris YaKopcic’s knowledge and guitar technique become evident, as well as the feeling this musician is able to offer to anyone who loves to listen to his music, both in a recording or in a live show.
