New album of this very actual electronic folk troubadour, who gives us eleven romantic songs, which follow his usual intimist line where he expresses his particular vision of love and death, concepts that appear in every single piece of his work. “Soft, Dangerous Shores” repeats again these ghosty, gauzy and evanescent sounds he creates into his peculiar microcosm with his intimist whispering harsh voice. If you ask me why I have included its review here, I can only say Chris Witley himself defines his music as “universal blues” (sic). It is only a matter of opinion, isn’t it?
